E. Elavarasan questions Tan Cheng Hoe’s level of professionalism

PKNS head coach E. Elavarasan has questioned the level of professionalism of Kedah head coach Tan Cheng Hoe after what the latter said about his newly-promoted Red Ants team.

The Kedah head coach, who is on the verge of becoming a part of the national team structure, labelled E. Elavarasan and his tactics as aggressive and violent after both teams faced off in a 1-1 draw at the Darulaman Stadium in Alor Star on April 8.

E. Elavarasan was not satisfied with what Tan Cheng Hoe had to say about him and his team and believes that he was saying it out of frustration after dropping two points at home.

“The way I see it, Cheng Hoe needs to understand that putting the blame on someone else rather than himself and his team is not good,” Elavarasan said as quoted by Stadium Astro.

“Football is played by eleven men, so I do not understand how one man can be blamed.

“Who is he? He is just a coach. He is not a referee, so he has no right in acting like one.

According to Tan Cheng Hoe, the referee should have sent off a few PKNS players during the Malaysia Super League (MSL) match, as well as penalize the players for time wasting.

PKNS is currently in ninth place in the league and they will travel to Krubong next week to face Malacca United, whereas Kedah sit comfortably in third place and they will face a threatening Perak side in Ipoh after coming off a 5-0 defeat against T-Team last week.
