Have Kelantan found a replacement for Mohammed Ghaddar?

Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) are currently looking to snap up the services of Lebanese forward Abou Bakr Al-Mel to replace Super League topscorer Mohammed Ghaddar.

A reliable source from KAFA revealed that the player will arrive in Kota Bharu to fill up the vacant spot left by Mohammed Ghaddar, who will be joining Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT).

The announcement will be made by KAFA president Tan Sri Annuar Musa as soon as possible.

“The signing of Abou Bakr is not something to be surprised about because he has the same strengths as former player Mohammed Ghaddar,” the source said as quoted by Utusan.

“I believe that the head coach of Kelantan (Zahasmi Ismail) will have plans to integrate the youth talent of the team with the attacking qualities of Abou Bakr Al-Mel this season.

Abou Bakr is currently playing professional football with AC Tripoli in the Lebanese Premier League. He has scored sixteen goals in 20 league games for the Lebanese side this season.

He announced that he will be signing with Kelantan through his Instagram account.
