Nelo Vingada unveils 26-men squad for Lebanon clash

A man of action he is!

Malaysia’s national football head coach has unveiled his list of 26 players ahead of the Asian Cup qualifiers fixture against Lebanon.

Harimau Malaya will be facing Lebanon at home at the Larkin Stadium in Johor on June 13th.

Nelo Vingada will be assisted by his assistants, former Kedah head coach Tan Cheng Hoe, and Joao Arnaldo Correia De Carvalho from Portugal.

Azmin Azram Abdul Aziz will serve as goalkeeper’s coach, while Francisco Jose Bruto Da Costa from India will serve as fitness coach.

Here are the 26 players selected for the training camp:

The squad features five players from Kedah, four players from Pahang, three players from Perak, one from PKNS FC, two from Selangor, and a whopping total of 11 players from Johor Darul Ta’zim.

As predicted, Safiq Rahim is back in the national squad, along with his other mates like Mahalli Jasuli, S. Chanthuru, Azammuddin Akil, Amirulhadi Zainal, Azrif Nasrulhaq Badrul Hisham, Fazly Mazlan, Aidil Zafuan Abd Radzak, S. Kunanlan and Izham Tarmizi.

The first 15 players on the list will assemble at the training camp next Monday on the 29th of May. The remaining 11 players from JDT will check-in after their AFC Cup fixture against Ceres on the 31st of May.
