#CartaMusikxFO: Malaysian international Brendan Gan reveals his Top 20 tracks!

Our first edition of CartaMusikxFO was kicked off brilliantly by Matt Davies’ fine mix of track – you can check it out here! And our bid to humanise the personalities we’ve grown accustomed to seeing on social media and on the pitch continues with Malaysian international and ex-Kelantan FA star, Brendan Gan!

ABOUT HIM

Full Name: Brendan Gan Seng Ling
Date of Birth: June 3 1988
Place of Birth: Sutherland Shire, Australia
Position: Defensive/Centre Midfielder
Current Club: Free Agent (Last played for Kelantan FA)
National Team: Malaysia

It goes without saying that Brendan Gan is one of the finest defensive midfielders in the country at this juncture. He is currently nursing his second ACL injury, but prior to that, he was easily Kelantan’s most influential player at the heart of their midfield. He has picked up 8 caps for the Malaysian national team and was a regular fixture in it, until the ACL setback, which happened during Malaysia’s Tour of Ocenia in June 2016. You can check out his inspirational updates on dealing with injuries on Instagram (brendangan) as well as on his website (www.brendangan.com)

THE SELECTION

Brendan starts off with a hugely underrated track from Ed Sheeran before moving on to a fine mix of content from Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Kendrick Lamar and even American experimental pop artist, Kiiara. There was even space for an all-time classic from Coolio and L.V.!

To make things easier for you, we’ve taken the liberty of compiling a Spotify playlist with Brendan’s Top 20 tracks. Go give it a follow!
