OKS drops four players to finalise 2017 SEA Games project squad

National U-22 head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee has finalised his list of 22 players that will leave for China in preparation for the 2017 Kuala Lumpur SEA Games.

Datuk Ong Kim Swee has dropped two goalkeepers; Ahmad Syihan Hazmi Mohamed and Danial Ashraf Abdullah from Kelantan, as well as Ariff Farhan Md Isa from Kedah, and Raphi Azizan Mariappen from PJ Rangers, all due to injuries.

Back in June, Datuk Ong Kim Swee called up three new players, Muhammad Irfan Zakaria from Kuala Lumpur, Sean Eugene Selvaraj and L. Kalaiharasan from Negeri Sembilan, to replace Ahmad Khairil Anuar Zamri from Perak, Nur Shamie Iszuan Amin from Sarawak and Ahmad Azriddin Rosli from Felda United, who were out on injuries.

Ahmad Khairil will continue to undergo rehabilitation at Wisma FAM, while Nur Shamie and Ahmad Azriddin will return to their clubs.

The national U-22 squad have been training at the Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya, and recently played a friendly with FELDA United which ended in 1-1 draw.

The finalised 2017 Sea Games project squad will now be heading over to Xiangtan, China on the 8th of June for a friendly on the 10th of June.

After that, they will make their way to Guangzhou, China on 11 June for two other international friendlies, Guangzhou R&F reserve team on 13 June and Guangzhou Evergrande reserve team on 15 June.
