Top Transfer Rumours (10/7/2017): Aubameyang to Milan? Bakayoko to United?

10th July 2017 – Here’s a round-up of all the hottest transfer rumours from today!

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to AC Milan

This one’s a real frustrating saga because Aubameyang was reportedly close to leaving Borussia Dortmund ‘twice’ this summer. First, he was on the verge of sealing a move to Paris Saint Germain – reports even claimed that he had bought a house in Paris. But not too long after that, he was linked with a move to Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian, where he was set to earn approximately 500,000 euros per week. However, new reports from Italy (Gianluca Di Marzio) now suggest that AC Milan have arranged a meeting with Dortmund officials to discuss a move. That said, expect this deal to collapse soon and the Aubameyang vicious cycle will go on again….

Tiemoué Bakayoko to Manchester United

You can almost taste the bitter aftertaste in this rumour. Fresh after snatching Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea’s grips, the Daily Star now claim that United are edging closer towards poaching yet another Chelsea target, Tiemoué Bakayoko. The Monaco defensive midfielder has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge all summer long, but a new plot twist means that he could be heading to Old Trafford. Mourinho was primarily keen on acquiring th services of Nemanja Matic, but it now appears that Chelsea are too frustrated to allow the Serbian to join them, after the Lukaku debacle. Naturally, United opted to continue the cold feud by switching their attention to another Chelsea target.

Alvaro Morata to Chelsea

Having missed out on Lukaku, Chelsea are now hitting panic button. Diego Costa is a foregone conclusion – it’s difficult to imagine the sort of wine Conte would have to purchase as a gift to repair his relationship with the Spanish forward. Next on the list? Alvaro Morata. The Real Madrid striker was reportedly close to signing for United before their blitzkrieg move for Romelu Lukaku, but he is still determined to leave Madrid in search of first-team football, given that the World Cup is slated to happen next summer. There are few better options that Morata out there at the moment, so Spanish reports (AS) on this rumour could in fact be completely true.

Gylfi Sigurdsson to Everton

It’s been a summer of lavish spending at Goodison Park and despite managing to bring back Wayne Rooney, Everton are showing no signs of stopping. According to the Daily Mail, Ronald Koeman has now set his sights on purchasing Swansea talisman Gylfi Sigurdsson. It makes complete sense, really. Sigurdsson is quick, creative, athletic and certainly has an eye for goals and assists – something Everton will desperately need, given that Lukaku is now out of the picture. Moreover, doubts over Ross Barkely’s consistency is also playing a huge part of Koeman wanting to push for this deal. Think about it, you can easily imagine him fitting into Everton’s squad, can’t you? Question is, how much would it take for Swansea to sell?

Thomas Lemar to Arsenal

This particular one has been dragging for quite a bit though Daily Mirror now claim that the Gunners are close to agreeing a deal with Monaco for Thomas Lemar. There were doubts over his own interest in moving to the Emirates, but senior officials at Arsenal are now convinced that he is up for the transfer, which is expedite the process of finalizing a deal with Monaco. The next obstacle will undoubtedly be the transfer fee, but the Mirror also claim that as long as Arsenal are willing to fork out about 45 million pounds, Lemar could be lining up alongside Alexandre Lacazette at the Emirates next season. You can almost imagine the smile on DT’s and Troopz’s face!
