Hoon Thien How and Lim Khim Wah quit BAM

National mixed doubles shuttlers, Hoon Thien How and Lim Khim Wah have officially pulled out of the squad after resigning from BAM

The duo, who are ranked number two in Malaysia, sent in their resignation letter to join Ng Hui Lin, Ng Hui Ern, Ong Jian Guo and Yang Yi Lian in quitting the national set-up

BAM General Manager Kenny Goh confirmed that he had received their letter and revealed that both players felt they were not going to progress and develop any more; something that led to the decision.

Meanwhile, BAM Deputy President Datuk Norza Zakaria was certainly taken aback by the decision, considering that they just implemented policies to improve the welfare of players, especially the increment in allowances.

“I will try to contact them to find out the real reason behind their decision to leave the BAM,” he told Bernama.

“Nevertheless, we cannot blame the players if they feel it’s the right decision for them.”
